Atlántica Garantía S.A. guarantees Herko trucks for 5 years

The agreement between Herko and Atlántica Garantía S.A. stipulates that the latter will be responsible for guaranteeing the trucks that Herko will manufacture from September this year in Zierbena Vizcaya for up to 5 years, from the first kilometre. This covers both the mechanical and electrical aspects of these so-called last-mile vehicles.

The terms of the agreement between the two companies define a new warranty coverage tailored to the needs of vehicles powered 100% by gas. Bernabé Gómez, commercial director of Atlántica Garantía S.A., commented that this agreement is very important for his company, including the warranty programme for this factory in Spain and Europe.

Herko prepares to develop its first vehicles

In its early years, the company is expected to manufacture around 1,500 units of the vehicle called Herko Bios 35. It has a 4-cylinder engine that provides 110 hp and 140 hp. In addition, it has a range of more than 800 km without refuelling, with more than 860 refuelling points in Spain and more than 46,000 in the European Union.

Commercially, to date, 36 units have been pre-sold to Urbaser, Cepsa, among other companies, which will be delivered before December of this year. In addition, they have already received purchase intentions for more than 700 vehicles, according to the manufacturer.

According to Bernabé Gómez, the agreement between the manufacturer of the Herko Bios 35 and CEPSA to promote the consumption of autogas will further boost sales of this truck. As a result, the number of warranty contracts provided by Atlántica Garantía S.A. will increase.

Herko's solutions enable compliance with the European Commission's demanding environmental standards without sacrificing profitability or competitiveness. And Atlántica Garantía S.A. contributes to these objectives by guaranteeing the proper functioning of its vehicles for up to 5 years.
